Jianfu Kuan-Yin Jianfu Kuan-Yin Temple is located in Dazhigu of Hedong District with an area of more than 5000sq.m.. Dazhigu is the birthplace of Tianjin with more than 30 temples in the history. A popular saying goes like ‘Dazhigu first, then Tianjin city’. The Jianfu Kuan-Yin Temple has three treasures. One is the six hundred year old Chinese Scholartree. It is regarded as the Tree Bodhisattva because it has absorbed the quintessence of the earth for long time. The other treasure is the Kuan-Yin Bodhisattva with one thousand hands and eyes. It is believed that the Kuanyin Bodhisattva will save all those distressful people and bless all lives. The last but not the least treasure of the temple is the 5-ton Copper Bell. When the bell rings, it will bring good luck to all people hearing the jow.
